Louise Bryant (1885–1936) was an influential American journalist, feminist, and political activist, best known for her reporting on social issues and revolutionary events in the early 20th century. Born in Nevada, she began her career in journalism in San Francisco and quickly gained a reputation for bold, insightful writing.

Bryant is most famous for covering the Russian Revolution of 1917, providing firsthand accounts of the political upheaval and social transformations taking place in Russia. She worked closely with radical thinkers and writers of her time, including her husband, John Reed, author of Ten Days That Shook the World. Her writings appeared in major publications and highlighted issues such as women’s rights, labor struggles, and social justice.
