About This Book
The book by Dr. Abdul Kalam reveals that he was deeply influenced by Pramukh Swamiji Maharaj, one of India’s most inspiring spiritual teacher. He has quoted various instances showing Swamiji’s contribution to establish peace in the society. One major incident mentioned in the book is about the terrorist attack on the Akshardham temple. Even after the brutal attack Swamiji had no grievance against terrorists, instead he gave more attention to the injured and took certain actions to put the temple back in its original form.

Another significant example highlighted in the book is of forgiveness. On meeting Nelson Mandela, Dr. Kalam asked him about his feelings after leaving the prison. To the question Mandela replied that he left all the bitterness and hatred behind in prison. He saw the gate as his door to freedom and even tried to prevent any sort of revenge against whites by the blacks.
